CBTC is a signaling system which enables trains to detect their own position and which uses two-way radio communication between onboard and wayside equipment. In addition it reduces wayside signaling equipment (e.g. signals, etc.) and allows high-density operation by utilising moving block technology, up to GoA4 operation including power-saving options.

The CBTC system is the foundation of safe and stable transportation, and it also achieves advanced train operation and control.
Cost reduction by reducing wayside signals and other signaling equipment.
High-density train operation via moving block section control.
Mitsubishi Electrics CBTC radio system with advanced wireless transmission technologies guarantees highly available train-wayside communication for urban areas.
Economic driving effectively reduces energy consumption without increasing the running time between stations.
